The Chalet – probably the most distinctive type of house in the Alps
The term chalet comes from Latin. It is derived from "cala" and means "protected place". “Chalet” describes a type of house or cabin that is most common in the rural Alpine region, where the buildings are traditionally made of wood or have wooden boarding. Typical features of the chalet style are a so-called flat gable roof with a wide overhang and the rural alpine style of decorations.
Alm wellness chalets with sauna and private wellness area
Many modern vacation homes are equipped with luxurious wellness areas that make your chalet vacation even more comfortable. In addition to saunas, whirlpools, and other wellness extras, luxury chalets often offer more space than other cottages and are sometimes as well equipped as your own home. Some luxury chalets have spacious outdoor areas such as a garden with a pool, a barbecue area, and covered terraces.
Rent or buy a chalet and then rent it out yourself
Chalet vacations and a stay in the mountains in general are becoming more and more popular among tourists. For this reason, the Fageralm Chalet Village is currently being built in a sunny dream location, directly in the ski region Schladming-Dachstein-West. Here you can spend your chalet vacation with families and friends in the future. Or you can take the chance to become a chalet owner yourself by purchasing one of the newly built vacation apartments and offering others the opportunity to enjoy a chalet vacation.
